The tourists who get to play Golf in Argentina will be able to visit this magnifies Estancias.
In this case, unlike others, the centre of this old Jesuit estancia is immersed in the city which was born precisely from this settlement. The church presides the central square of the city, and by its side the residence is nowadays a museum of the utmost architectural and historical interest. In one of the lateral streets, the old workshop holds a school now. The reservoir, a usual complement of these buildings, still exists. The church is an atypical case in the country: on the one hand, because of its facade without towers, with its profile made up of repeated uninterrupted curves, which remind us of a late Italian baroque, and the reflection of this profile represented in an elegant shape for the atrium. On the other hand, and quite unusual indeed in all Hispanic America, it is atypical because of the characteristics of the transept, formed by a widening of the central nave, forming an oval-shaped plant, and also showing a volume limited by smoothly curved plans to the outside, instead of the usual flat ending.

The dome which rises from the pseudo-transept is not very stilted, and thus accompanies the general refinement of the volumetric design. We could therefore say that this gracefulness is the dominant characteristic of Alta Gracia.
The L-shaped residence holds a graceful exterior doorway together with an elegant central staircase-which has lost much of its gracefulness due to a very rigid restoration-accompanied by an ornamental crown presiding the entrance.
The corridors above, covered with cross vaulting, lead into other domed rooms. At the back there is the labour patio, as well as the restored rustic kitchen.
