Calamuchita
Valley lies between the Sierras Chicas and
the Sierras Comechingones, with the imposing
Cerro Champaqui as the highest peak (2,994
metres above sea level).
The planting of large areas of trees in the region
has projected its unique character in the Province,
which reinforces the fact of having been colonized
by the Central European immigrants, who organized
their cultural and gastronomic traditions in the
place, now having become the outstanding feature
of Calamuchita.
Fishing and every kind of water recreation activities
can be carried out in any of the seven dams that
there exist. The diversity of landscapes offers
favourable settings to practice mountaineering,
trekking, adventure and rural tourism.
