The tourists who get to play Golf in Argentina will be able to visit this magnifies Estancias.
The Estancia of Santa Catalina as a whole is made up of the church and a group of cloisters, and it is one of the most valuable works of colonial architecture in the country. Like other buildings of this type, it was meant to support the intellectual and spiritual enterprises of the Compañía de Jesús in Córdoba. The architects that took part in the construction of these buildings belonged to the Order that operated in the country, or they were sent out by their superiors to work wherever they were needed. Therefore, such as in the case of Santa Catalina, it is sometimes difficult to state who designed the work, although the diversity of the architects´ origin is clearly seen. The church´s facade, with its high graciously curved domed towers and its main front clearly attempting to undulate the wall, denotes the presence of a German architect who contributed with touches of the southern German baroque; the main patio, on the other hand, is of a dry Italian mannerism. The highest hierarchy activities were performed there, whereas handwork and warehouses were located in other patios, of a more modest architectural design.
